Malt 379
Anybody else watching the news? I was watching it last night as they entered Tripoli. Those reporters have got some balls, fair play! If they can keep the religious nutters out of it, they'll be sorted.

WILF 46,832
It always baffles me why we try and apply western principals to Arab countries (or asian or african for that matter)........they have different social rules to us. In the case of Arabs, its always been that the big man is at the top with a f*****g great whip, beating any f****r who steps out of line and when he curls up his toes, the next bloke with the biggest whip takes over and so it carrys on............... Its how things have always been and how things will always be..........it works for them so why poke our nose in?

foxfan 479
To me, this whole thing f*****g stinks, its a documented fact that a lot of the rebels are al quida, some even former detainees from Guantanomo, now pardon me but ithought al quida were public enemy number 1 ? Now we're arming and funding them. If you do your research on this you will see that Gaddafi was trying to set up an independant banking system, even offering interest free loans to other African nations, the big boys dont like that, so he fell out of favour, i've read that he still has the support of the majority of Libyan people. Gadaffi was the only one who was able to unite the tibes, now they will probably go back to fueding and the country will rip itself apart. Who knows ? What a f*****g mess. Hob&Jill 258
"The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which." I think there must have been a deal with the 'rebels', military support in return for oil supplies a few years down the line once they are in power? atb, HJ
