Just wondering is it possible to repair the parker hale rods as I scraped about an inch of the plastic coating off the rod. seems a shame to bin for such a small scrape. Cheers Wam Quote Link to post

Cheers Wam Some take the sleeving off anyway. Not by favourite plan as most of the plastic coated rods are steel. Devey rods tend to be painted. Rods are sometimes brass coated, or wood of course, etc! Heat shrink sounds a fair idea just the same! Quote Link to post

It's possible to buy heat shrink tubing with hot melt glue, this works very well indeed and Set's a little harder than normal heat shrink tubing. That said, I've just ordered 3 meters of evil bay for £2 after knackering my .243 P-H rod. John Quote Link to post
