Irish Lurcher 1,013
Liam I used something in that range, very handy piece of kit to have, mine used to connect onto the lamp battery, they come into their own while on foot patrol on your jack-jones, are you thinking of buying???? Any chance in pointing a few people in the right direction on where to find and which to buy, from abroad, would be a great help because no one wants to be paying £200 for what is basically a torch.atb pipcock Quote Link to post
Burnsie 0
I'm looking at something for my CZ .17 HMR, so I'm keen to know of folks lighting preferences. So far I've been pointed in this direction - http://www.uttings.co.uk/Product/639/107277/tracer-tri-star-pro-gunlight-kit-gl2951?src=froogle Quote Link to post
jigsaw 11,866
very nice bit of kit Burnsie but a bit over my budget, Quote Link to post
Burnsie 0
I know it is not exactly cheap, but what I'd really like to know is what most other folk use ojn top of their scopes. Anyone? Quote Link to post
jigsaw 11,866
no one has a clue it seems, thought someone would have come across them. Quote Link to post

So far I've been pointed in this direction - http://www.uttings.c...951?src=froogle I looked at these, I've never tried them but from what I gather with three led's it's difficult to get a good throw. You are better off going for a single led with better throw housing. I use a catapult v3 which is plenty bright enough for hmr range but although the beam goes a few hundred yards picking up eye shine it's not bright enough at distance for me with cf. I don't know how they compare to a tiablo but they are not cheap either £120. You would be happy for hmr though 200yrds or less no problem. Quote Link to post
Alycidon 2
Just shove a lampforce 170 on it, tried and tested. Electrics can go a bit shaky after a few years but pretty decent bit of kit. I shot a fox at almost 250 yards with one the other night and that was with an orange lens on it. Just a bit clumsy but a well thought out lamp and scope fitting. A Quote Link to post

A Agree a 12v lamp and battery does give the best distance but you've got the wires. Personally for me it suits as it gives the greatest distance but for an HMR the LED torches will suffice if that's what your looking for. Quote Link to post
