zini 1,939
Here are some more up to date pics of my Wheeler / Nuttel cross. We have just moved house into a area where there are lots of cats. I have to watch him like a hawk as he likes to tangle with cats when ever he can. The thing is though he dont chase them and then run off when they stand their ground like a lot of dogs do. He loves the battle i think and the cats never come off best. He is a first class bushing dog and very intelligent. Its true what you guys say though they need to be watched as they have no fear of any thing and can get them selves in trouble from time to time. subaruwilly 8
This dog has got alot of wheeler in him mate but i dont work him like some of the guys in here do their dogs. He does his own thing really when out . He has killed rats, he has killed a fox in a drainage pipe .But like they say, the breed is hard. Mine is a demon. you have to watch them. They will try it will anything. I am lucky with mine though as i managed to introduce him to other dogs as a pup so he dont cause any bother that way but anything else i owned your dogs sire (jip) i started his working career off as a pup and he was coming on great guns he was a very nice looking stamp and quite a useful digging dog and was killing most of the foxes he could get to but eventually spewed on the digging job about 2 and half years old but would still kill his foxes, he weren`t overfaced at all and had no really hard digs as such, he just threw the towel in so he had to go and was sold as a fox only dog, but on the other side of the coin i do know some very useful dogs out of this breeding, hope this helps Quote Link to post
Guest ROOSTER
TO be honest although a very impresive dog he looks to stocky to get to many foxes. Quote Link to post

zini 1,939
yes i have to aggree with you there mate. I think that he is far to big to work under ground. Im not sure what spewing means can someone explain it please. As i have always stated in the few post that ive been involved in "I dont work him to ground" he does his own thing and he loves to bush. Im not a hard terrier man like most on here like to portray themselves as, i just have a interest in the breed and respect what they are capable of doing. I like to shoot more than anything else and he is brilliant at finding rabbits, foxes, rats etc so he is perfect for me. Not everyones cup of tea i know but hes mine. Anyway i have 2 small children and i dont think that they would ever forgive me if i brought him home ripped and bleeding like i have seen some of the dogs on here after a dig. Anyway lads i dont need to dig i enjoy reading your posts so keep up the good work. Zini. Edited May 13, 2007 by zini Quote Link to post
