starting your season,equipment,gadgets,tactics,

with the season just around the corner how will you start?will you hammer the little blighters all night or just have a couple of hours here and there or just take what you need and head off home,or do you do something else and what quarry will you be hunting and type of dog you will be running.i will be running a 3/4 whippet beddy on rabbits.will you be trying any new equipment/gadgets ie lamps, callers,clothing,boots ect,any pics appreciated thanks for reading alb martync

Same dogs and the same lamps/boots/clothes and everything else The only new bit of new equipment i fancy is the u caller, not for dogs as thats illegal, but for the gun....... Already had 3/4 outings to get the lay of the land, get the dogs eased back into it, see whats been cut, what hasn't and see what quarry numbers are around, where they run etc etc etc.........

the only thing different for me this year is i am bringing on a new pup, other than that everything else is the same.

Ive got all the same old gear ive always had 2 new dogs to bring on i have been out myself a couple of time just out of keenness getting the better of me,ive been checking bits of land out seeing weather its worth trying or not seeing whats on it,getting other little bits and bobs ie first aid stuff and that oh and i bought a new pair of arseless moleskins

just got myself a new deben 170 variable lamp, got a 10ah lithium at the mo but will be up grading to a 14ah in December. starting the pup this year so he is new.

 

ill be hitting the little bliters as hard as i can (thats not very hard lol)

I'm always shopping for the latest gadgets until I see the price, then I either make it myself or decide I don't need it. The basics are the most important, a good pair of shoes, waterproof clothes with big pockets and my dugs.

Same boots clothes etc my lamping equipment is the same my ferreting equipment same ferret mk3m finder spade but new purse & stop nets that i.ve made and new kits that i.ve bred & and a new pup to bring on cant wait now

Well been lamping past two years but will be hunting hares more this this year (if l have the dogs) but still lamping at lest once a week.

Some new gear this year boots and tops and bottoms but nothing to talk about.Have the same lamp but will be getting new battery next week (motorbike does me)better then the car one l used too carry about when l was 15,16.

3 dogs l be running this year,saulki x lucher pup 15 months,lucher x lucher 22months old and my old bitch will be my sub age 7 saulki x wheaten x grey.

Hope to have good season and injury's free (l hope) but never works out like that.Started picking up the dogs miles past few weeks and changed there food to a higher protein.

the same coats and boots as last year but go a new blitz lamp today so off out to try her tonight and will have the pup to start back end of season
