In my opinion a bit of whippet in a lurcher is a plus as they can add that initial burst and I personally haven't see a whippet cross that wasn't desparate to kill stuff

Of course everyone should have an opinion, and some people ARE breed blind, but anyone who says Whippets aren't fast, realy SHOULDN'T be writing for a national feildsports publication, (if you can call the CMW that), !!!!!!

They will print any shit in that thing, honestly, they hold the folk that write in it, up as some kind of group of working dog / ferret gurus, and most of what they write is total nonsense based upon their own limited experience or prejudices. It's a joke. Whippets are slow, ferrets are crap (you need an e.u poley), all poachers are also thieves and muggers and so it goes on and on and on. . . . seems like whoever is in charge will take anything written by these folk, without giving a thought to weather it has any kind of grounding in reality.
