akakabuto 6
interesting post lads whats every body elses views can it be done with a single terrier I think a terrier can kill mink single handily, not a doubt in my mind. Perhaps the terrain makes a difference, a mink out in the open or a mink in a pile of rocks is fair game if not outright screwed; in the water I have no problem imagining a mink clawing the shit out of a terrier struggling in the water, god forbid. The jaws of the mink is not what i would be worried about, instead the ability to manipulate its' body in various angles which make allows it to bite while being bite,. Regardless, a good shaking should be the end of a mink, especially on the neck or abdomen. I have photos of small terrier killing similar sized/large mink, and some just biting dead ones they already killed. But I'll play safe and not post any hunting pictures, even tho it was in legal areas,Norway. however I think this picture is safe. 1 Quote Link to post

akakabuto 6
Akakabuto if that dog of yours has done minx single handed then he will be ready for the grevling .... Even tho I've heard of a terriers to take on badger(European) and i'd take on mink any day. Badger take time to kill let alone beat down whereas mink can be killed with a bit of shaking. Unlike mink a badger evolved to get the shit beaten out of it, in nature they boss other animals around at kills of feeding sites. Here a series of photos I believe are safe, just a russell terrier hanging onto a mink, no fighting/kill. In Norway where it is legal Quote Link to post
matthews 88 77
good pic lad but i dont think there are many people who would say there terrier could handle a badger but it seems that mink can be killed with a single terrier. atb Quote Link to post
