ferretsandhawks 47
if i get rubbished for this then so be it but i just wedge their mouth open with my finger as they nip you and hold it in their mouth sideways not so your finger is down the throat and just hold it there untill they want to pull away and after a few of them they dont want to nip anymore and i have done so many ferrets this way and not once has it failed, good luck mate but handling as much as possible is essential Quote Link to post
Elmer Fudd 2011 39
a good old hard flick on the noise or three and by the time they have there big teeth they know not to bite if they get blood out of my fingers with there big teeth more than three time it game over, some ferrets will always bite some never do. i have a black eyed white that as never niped as a kit so i kept him and he is 5 yrs old this time and he works i have had my hand down a hole we had to dig to get him out and as i pulled a rabbit out he walked past me to get back to his kill Quote Link to post
