jnfo wanted on ferruginous please

anybody on here got a ferruginous and is flying one at present im a present flying male harris and was thinking of buying a ferru whiich are better to obtain male or female and ive heard they can be moody birds and very lazy what are the average weight diffrences between the sexes and what are thhey like to hunt bunny and hare with any info much appresated thanks

been flying harrris now for 3 seasons mate and just fancy flying ferruginous or maybe red tail mate as they seem big powerfull birds and fancy new challenge mate just wanted info on these birds ie temprement and size or should i say weight diffrence in sexes and veiws of people who fly them

hi mate the breeder where i just got my harris from breeds ferruginous to mate he would be more than happy to give you some info let me know if you would like to call him and ill pass you his number mate. lovely looking birds mate

i felt the same i have flown my harris since 06 and this year decided on a new bird. my mates were buying gyr x sakers and i decided i would too completely different kettle of fish. brilliant birds but you need someone who knows what theyre doing with longwings :) P.s. i will still be flying my harris aswell...

As already been said you will need a lot of land to fly one not usually flown off the fist they hunt better waiting on.you will need to get there quick when the bird has cought its quarry if you want to hunt again with it due to there large gape can consume a lot of food in a short time you will need a lot of time on your hands to get the bird fit

ive flown as i said earlier my harris for three years and have had some good sport on bunny but just fancy larger bird as their are some large hares and good numbers of pheashants about not many people seem to be flying ferruginous and i was wondering why and would like to hear from lads who have flown them are females better or males for this quarry and do they follow on like the harris the harris im flying is a male and was my first bop hence all the questions about diffrent breed

just bought african grey of jeffs brother brian and got a cockatoo in mate dont breed them anymore to much hassle mate have a safe flight and tell tone i was asking about him atb der

I will tell him tomorrow mate,he will have a laugh,you know him,I had a sulphur crested cockatoo when I was in Hong Kong,found it as a chick near the park in mid-levels,noisy as f*ck,be lucky chris.
