Cheers guys do you buy the veg from a veg shop or supermarket

 Hahahaha F*ck me mate that's got to be the funniest question I've ever seen on the NET!

I personally think that you're worrying about it all too much, As good as the chicken is you'll need to give the dog more than just chicken carcasses, give it Lamb, Beef (Mince), Tripe and bones a few times a week. Don't worry about the fat in the Lamb, if it looks as though it's putting on too much weight then don't feed it as much Lamb.

BARF is the best way to feed a dog make no mistake of that, a dog isn't going to of evolved in the past few years to do better on a bag of dry food because of what they say about this and that vitamins and this amount of protein just to get you to buy their product. Dog's have always ate BARF since before they were domesticated by humans, that's a long f*cking time.

Just look at what comes out of the other end, With dry food the shits are like a mousse and there is loads of it! With a more natural diet, their shits actually look like a proper shit and there's a lot less of it, which to me says that if it isn't excreting as much waste then it must be using up more of the goodness that the natural diet is giving to the dog, as it will only get rid of the bad (waste) part of the food that it can't digest properly.

Haha I meant as in best value for money

:good: Sound mate, theres some good advice on this thread and forum, hope all goes well with your dog :good: .

the natural way meat veg pasta is a great feed and the dogs always seem to prefer it but if meat supply is short and you feed a complete meal type food make sure its a good quality one. mine are on gain 28 and thrive on it as did my racing greyhounds but they do get a change two or three times a week .

I like were it states the required fibre comes from "fruits and veg" , hence once again, the raw based diet with fruit and veg additives is a winner everytime. It gets better

Lol the headline writer says fruit and veg the researcher say cellulose, silly just looking for something to back up your own beliefs rather than reading and taking on board the info. Fruit and veg are good sources along with cereals etc and a mixture will supply both soluble and insoluble fibre.

Strange there are so many experts on this with so little knowledge, to many headlines and not enough content?

As an avid believer in barf im going to put the cat amongst the pigeons here....For a long time i fed my my dogs barf..lots of flesh and bone with a healthy dose of veg thrice a week..they looked sound on it and were as healthy as anything...however..at the start of summer..say may time i switched from barf to a good quality dry food..purely for hygiene purposes tbh..ie flies and such...since changing to dry i have noticed no difference to my dogs overall appearence/performance whatsoever..they maintain weight just as good and appearence is just the same....so are energy levels. As for more shite i can see no dramatic change..infact if anything my dogs find it easier now to shite..whereas with barf they would on the odd occasion struggle to part with it lol...so for the time being im gunna stick with what im doing because to me they are everybit as healthy as they ever were..atb stabba
