THLpatrick 555
Well heres my BULL X WHIPPET, for rabbits and rats, thrown whippety and petite but wonder what she would of been like at a mature age preban shes just about 4months here, got abit more slimmer and shaped in the past couple weeks i bred a litter of first crosses mainly because of the nose and drive of their dam. she is about 20" and the whippet i used was 23". i like yours but think mine will make slightly bigger. they are about 8 weeks in the pic but are not far off the size of yours now. i kept the 2 biggest dogs. time will tell how they turn out nice looking pups, should be taller yeah, specially as mine was a smallish pup but thats what i wanted, as racey as i can with a jaw of a lion tbh, hopefully all turns well and she goes out thinking she can kill a lion on the lamp and entered correctly i hope for the best ! forest of dean redneck 11,598
when a bull and whippet is crossed,i assume they are hoping for thicker skin, slightly tougher mentality. doesnt moll have a nice looking staff x whippet?. Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Not read it all, but just to throw this in the mix. If you are breeding a half x, how many working greyhounds are out there? In comparison to the number of cracking working whips? I think that is often an important factor, get a whippet with a good nose, high prey drive and the right physical attributes (and as big as you can find) and put it to a well tested bull, and although some will throw heavy, you will get a few, really racy, heart like a lion, but now with a bit of bulk to back that heart up. Look a bit less obvious as well. Quick as f**k off the mark, decent around holes, good for hunting up cover etc. Quote Link to post
