Is it possible for a dog to contract kennel cough even though they are inocculated annually?? I ask as my 3 Bulldogs came back from kennels last weekend and 2 of them kept me awake all last night coughing and wheezing, ive started them on a course of anti-biotics and added Vitamin C to their food, will monitor things for a couple of days then if no change then time for vets, but in the mean time i wonder if any of you good folks on here has experiance of kennel cough.

Cheers MATTI.

There are lots of different strains of KC, so depending on which vaccine has been given and when it was given

your dog could still catch it or one of the other strains.

As has been said - give benylin original or give honey direct or in the water.

Unfortunaly kc can last quite a few weeks, some dogs get over it with in days

some it takes longer, but you need to make sure you keep them away from other dogs for a while

as they will still be contagus(sp) for a while after the cough has gone.
