Depends, pumping an Ultra takes no time at all, pumps are easy enough to use, lighter than a bottle, just a bottle is instant. Soime people say you can get too much moisture in from a pump and some gunsmiths say that sometimes a bit of moisture is needed to keep internal seals in good condition. I have both, I have the pump in case I need to top up when the cylinder is being recharged....

As Mole says,

A Ultra is filled in a minute or so to 200 bar without really causing any stress with a good quality fully working pump.

I also own a FX 4 stage pump and a 7 litre 300 bar cylinder and for the filling i use the cylinder more now with the pump used as a back up, thats just because its a 1 minute job with no effort and im lazy these days :icon_redface: .

I always used to use a pump and never had a problem with a pump even when filling my r10 and stealth so I would say it doesnt matter mate just depends on how fit you feel.

You really wont go wrong with a Ultra mate.

You dont hear much about Ultras coming from the factory broken and they generally are one of the best kept secrets in air rifle hunting.

When they first came out i thought that because they were so cheap compared to other PCPs that they would be poor quality, inaccurate, inconsistant rilfes untill a good friend of mine bought one up to my range in Catterick and it was shooting 1 hole groups at 30 metres, and he was regualy shooting squirrels and rabbits at in excess of 45 metres with it sometimes 50 metres and beyond.

A couple of times Gary and Darryl also came out with us when Chris was up with his Ultra and they also witnessed him shooting some briliant shots with it.

Please let me know how you get on with it pal.
