If a few whippets turn up let us know on the day we can put a class on no bother.     Colm

I enjoyed this one last year so will be going up.

Need to remember lads the dog shows there for the game fair, the game fair isnt there for the dog show, I always take a bob or 2 to gamefairs incase anything takes my fancy but I never build my hopes

So agreed their charging too much on the gate and as a gamefair it needs big improvements but nothing to do with the terrier club I think they did their bit and that can't be moaned about

What date is the lowther show next year? I think I will be going to as many as I can. Focused on the big ones this year and missed the smaller ones.

Edited to add that I thought the dog show was spot on.well ran, good people etc. Thats the only part of the show I enjoyed. But I went to a gamefair and not a dog show. The game fair was shite. Worst one I've ever been- honestly.

It's not just £10 entry though is it? It's £20 for me and the missus, £45 for petrol and food while were there.

If i knew there was going to be fuk all on offer I would have gave £65 to the greyhound rescue!!

I have emailed the show organisers too with the same points.

Enjoyed the day as a whole but that's solely down to the dog show.

Didn't even see the falconry stall. Didn't see any stalks selling any gear apart from clothes, 1 pigeon shooting stall and 2 dog lead stalls.

Rake- eh, if you've got the future show winning pup then why not be a rosette hunter? Or cutest dog haha

I have emailed the organisers Thats the key exactly whats needed we always make a point of giving feedback to the organisers I was stuck on the stand so did'nt see the whole show but with vat up to 20% and derv so expensive all the shows have a great deal of difficulty attracting traders and when the punters walk in and say I can get it cheaper on Ebay a two day show is ussually 4 or 5 days work for these guys.

I had a great time camping beer tent was good crack, the lurcher showing was good but the fair itself could have done with more stalls me thinks with better prices. If they put there prices down theyd sell more instead of trying to sell at high prices and selling nothing.

Oh and Denned the next time my dog is racing yours can mine have a head start please? Its all fun :D

That's what ruined it the gamefairs charging traders so much for their pitch that the traders need to make quite a bit before even making a profit so they can't give a bargain or 2 or a bit of flexibility now

Hi Folks a big thanks to every one who turned up at the Lurcher & Terrier show thought it was a realy good dog show judges did a goo job , we have been promised ring side parking next year should make it a bit easier for the lads who come, big thanks to denned as well for the racing this is a big part of the show Stuart is a good lad but dont let him near the pies : )

Speaking to people who were running the show the plan is to build it up over the next few years . It's the old story use it or lose it.

Thanks again
