Collars? need a new'n which one?

Recommended Posts

shes a beddy whippet stands at 20"tts she wears a cheap 2" wide leather collar atm with loadsa room to move but its started warping with the rain and when she goes for a swim in our lake mick

A photo would help mate, not saying you're wrong, but I only used to use a 1.5" wide on a big bull x and he was 28" tall and very strong, it's not the weight of the collar that is the problem as even the 2" wide ones are only 200 odd grammes, it would be the way it acted as a brace on the dog's neck.

If you want a collar that wont stretch when wet....tear..or rot then its got to be a strong Stuff collar...if you dont mind any of these things happening to your collar then get a leather one...took m

nice pink one

I got a greyhound collar from the pet shop, about £6 and dogs happy with it

i see what ya mean on the photo maybe a 1.5" would be more suited mate with black eyelets and the two prong brass buckle and D ring and fabric bit to tuck ecsess in what price would i be looking at ther? mate? atb mick

Have you measured the dog's neck? Best to check again as 10" is what you'd expect most terriers to be.

1.5" wide collars have a single prong buckle.

Collar with brass fittings would be £15 + £3 postage.

Thanks.

Oh lad alive! :clapper:

I'm shitting it now, am just off to put my sewing machine on ebay ............... :fool:

Machine??? i thought your collars were hand made?? save your bother i'll buy your machine :D

This was the first attempt at using a sewing machine and first attempt at making a collar, realised i would have to weld the eyelets or stitch even (all problems you would have encountered when you decided to rip Blocky dogs collars off and the like.

Never sold a collar to date but STILL slowly slowly catch the monkey :cray:

Ive got SS collars myself and as ive stated before there the bollax, machine washable the lot, its the bullshit i cant get my head round :bad:
