so what your saying is we should all except things as they are now and either like it or lump it or carry on as if nothing has changed and just except that if you run your dog on fox or hare you are breaking the law and take the concequences?

 

OR YOU COULD BE SAYING SIT TIGHT, WAIT 2YEARS AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS THEN. ok we sit tight for 2 years and nothing changes as it hasnt within the last 2 years and we could find ourselves in the same boat as were sitting in now.

 

sadly i think for most that they have ran out of steam or are either waiting for someone else to make the changes for them. MUSH& BALDIE what i have said is just how i feel about it all and it is no way ment as a dig or a rant at either of you personally, im very pashionate about my coursing and feel that we as a whole have given up the fight.

At no time did i think you was having a go mate and as long as people are passionate they will not stop us

The way I see it theres a time to fight and a time to not let them know what your up to, with a blinkered government that does what it wants to no mater what most of us want or say, i think its the time right now to not let them know to much even if the other half of me wants to shove it in their faces

Yep, well said Mush. This government is capable of absolutely ANYTHING, and we know to our cost, they have murdered half the arab world, closing the loopholes is small beer to them, if they think there is any political mileage to be had from it. I fear, there is only one sure way, to maybe regain what we had, and labour has to be out to achieve it, thats the ONLY chance we have, of not getting any more legislation thrust upon us.

Molecatcher, this is a forum mate, you havent offended anyone, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one, keep posting them mate, otherwise, forums cant exist.

Im glad my passion for hunting hasnt got in the way of how we conduct ourselves on this forum Sadly i keep myself to myself when it comes to fieldsports in my own area, not having anybody to chat to over a pint so i can only draw a conclusion on my own opinions and no one elses. It is only through comments by fellow forum members that i can sit back and think about what has been said and how this differs from my own opinion. I guess at the end of the day i would hope that those who have a better understanding of politics have not over looked this loop hole but have choosen as some have said to use it when it will prove more valuble to our cause. So baldie,mush and maxhardcore i have taken on board what you have all said and i must agree, even if my passion has me thinking that nothings being done. still, i would like to thank all that have taken the time to read whats been posted and taken the time to reply.

i know a few who belong to the club in question. the thing i would like to know is why hasn't the waterloo cup done this?

the field trialing clubs at the moment are happy to hold the club meets as they are under the current climate without the fuss a load of antis turning up would cause, its legal what they are doing within the full knowlage of the police who know these meets are being carried out legaly . if at this moment in time they were to run the waterloo it would give the antis a platform once again. yet at the next election if everyone exercises their right and votes for the party which is more pro hunting and countryside than the others ie conservitive then who knows the waterloo could be back in a few years and what a great big f**k off that would be to the antis. if the lurcher lads can obtain permission and have with them a man, woman who holds a shotgun licence they can legaly use one or two dogs to flush hares to a gun. its gaining that permission thats the hard thing.

your right getting permission is harder than ever some land owners dont trust the simple lurchermen i dont no if this is because of the ban in place and lots of lads reduce to hunting against the law so they can do what the have always done and they and there dogs injoy or if they dont want hasle from anti groups cuming down and causing trouble i got stopped a few weeks ago by some anti guys while working dogs on some rabbits that i have written permission for they wanted to know whos land it was and that it was wrong to do what i was doing they had been filming me to see if i was breaking ban
