Ive never been able to drink enough to enjoy it so I gave up trying. I kinda wish I got into drinking because I feel Ive missed out on a bit of life but on the plus side Im probably healthier for it. I love having a crack with people that are drinking/pissed though. Most countrymen meet someone that doesnt drink with suspicion though (especially when introduced through a mutual freind that is known for liking their drink) so makes for some funny comments that's well wierd!!!!! you are an unusual man! what have you tried? I can't get my head around this post at all!! :huh: I hate talking to someone who's bladdered when I'm sober. thats pretty much the reaction I get, lol. Tried most drinks, all the usual largers, biters, traditional ales and cyders. Cyder and some ales arnt disgusting but not enjoyable, Ive turned many drinks offers down for a pint of tap water . I just cant stand em even them poncy fecking girly alcopops! And as for wine...... how the f**k anyone can drink any of that shit is beyond me. When I say this I mean it..... I would rather drink my own piss! Tried most spirits, alot of different stuff gets passed around on a shoot day/party. A swig of whiskey is 'alright' but thats about as much as I would want. TBH there are drinks I try which I think are ok, I wouldnt say nice but ok but Ive gone so long without being a 'drinker' that Im just not interested anymore. Some people dont like chocolate etc, I guess its a bit like that.... .... or Im just not wired up right Nothing wrong with that mate, I don't think any alcoholic drink tastes 'nice' either. Guest thebigdog Posted August 12, 2011 Report Share Posted August 12, 2011 i hardly ever drink these days..i stopped drinking totally for two years when was pregnant and for a year after..then now cant take it and hate the hangovers so barely ever drink and when i do i just have one or two..older i get i find dont need to drink to have a good time ..i get up dancing and shake me arse totally sober now..no shame .. im not a doctor or anything, but pregnant for 2 years, bit weird no? lol Quote Link to post Share on other sites

jigsaw 11,863 Posted August 12, 2011 Report Share Posted August 12, 2011 I stayed in Irishlurchers home 2 weeks ago and he plied me with wine,2 bottles and Im ashamed to say my speech went to Gibberish I cant hold my drink,3-4 pints im snookered.I make it my buisness now not to drink with others cause im a lightweight in that department.I drink 1-2 tins of budweisser most nights while siting here reading topics.Other than that I prefer not to make a tool of myself so dont drink much. I remember saying that too a mate of mine about Lager......we were in the pub and he drank it like it was the finest amber nectar ever invented. He looked at me like i was an alien when i said i drink to be sociable but its not the best tasting stuff. I will however be drinking Stellas new Cidre tomorrow which is lovely...........hiccup!!! lanesra 3,994 Posted August 12, 2011 Report Share Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) Use to have a few pints every night , 5and a half yrs ago i stopped , had 3 or 4 social drinks since , all being while away (Gonetoearth, had too put up with me 1 night , think he would say im a chatterbox drinker lol), but once back on the island i wouldnt thank you for it if it was free !
