chook1 184
If its a proper event - then 12 months is the minimum - if its just fun racing, then some will do puppy races for under 12 months. Quote Link to post
sighthound123 31
cheers i'd just like to see how my pup would get on, if there's a puppy race at lowther that would be great! He's about 10 month Quote Link to post
Shazza 52
Look for your nearest Non-pedigree whippet racing and take him along 1/2hr before they start racing, they will give him a go or two for you on the lure. They will want to see him run single before anyone thinks of letting him race against another dog (for safety). There's no money involved but it's great fun. I take my WhippXgrey to Old Hall, she's 9 months now and we love it. They have to be 12 months old to compete properly in races but yours is the right age to start practising Quote Link to post
sighthound123 31
Hi Shazza, i'm getting some photos later today of the bitch and dog tied for you and will scan them on here, she's not far of dropping apparently! Just looked and i've found a whippet racing club local to me! I'll go along one morning cheers Quote Link to post
