AndrewEdwardDennis 9
no bad if you can use the land rover, must be big burrows if your using 6.my dam albino kills underground on the smallish burrows if using 2-3 ferrets, like the jack russel to we did about 5 smallish burys so each fert gets a bit of a run the jack russell (ted) is coming on great he is nearly 2 and started to mark the holes iv got high hopes for him and the good thing is when he gets to a rabbit in the net he just puts his foot on it and is more intrested in sniffing it's ar*e then biting it not like my old jack who is dead now he was a nightmare if he got to it before you you were lucky if you got the skin out the net let alone the rabbit but i do miss the little sod REST IN PEACE GEORGE did your dog kill the rabbits whilst in the net then retrieve them to you? I'm trying to train my jack russell at the min but he's more interested in the ferret despite me trying to convince him that the ferret is his ally.... Quote Link to post

Yeh my old russell george killed them in the net the trouble was the rabbit was no good to eat when he had got to it 1st george hated everything he even used to try and bite his own reflection in a mirror but he was ok with the ferrets i wouldn't have trusted him alone with em but whilst i was there he was fine with em he could be a pain in the ar*e but i loved him to death he was my ferreting companion he nearly gave me many a heart attack i can tell yer LOL Our new russell ted is a compleate different ball game he's calm great with my grandkids other dogs and the ferrets i trust him 100% when a rabbit gets caught in a purse/long net he just nudges it with his nose and sniffs it's ar*e he marks the rabbit burys very well now so two dogs the same breed with compleatly different temprements Quote Link to post
