barrywhite 282
All I can guess at is maybe a gun like an air arms or a theoben pcp ,have a small amount of high presure air to access when the valve is opened. This small amount of air in an air chamber takes time to refill regulating the shot a bit .If the valve was left open for a long time there would be no air and no power in crease. On a gun like the stealth when the valve is opened, the valve is opened into the hole 500cc bottle .If the valve was left open for a long time ,the gun would have access to as much air as could pass the valve ,at full pressure for as long as the valve is open.Hope this makes sents had a few tins and I could be wrong. paulk73 151
so non reg guns use air direct from the air source. and regd guns use air from the source but it goes to the firing pot(reservoire) first. is that right? Quote Link to post
airtech 39
semi reg is like a falcon very small airgap around the firing valve so regs the amount of air that is passing out into the barrel but as air pressure dropps in main cylinder they do not work as well. full reg is a device that changes the air pressure say from 3000psi to 800 psi in .22 it will then have the same firing pressure until the air in the gun is less than 800 psi Quote Link to post
