Omega, its nice to hear a post from someone that thinks along the same lines as myself and you should stay active with your commonsense approach to terrierwork on this site, people are too entrenched in

I am new to the forum so I will just add my two penny worth. I used to be heavily into sensible, lawful and necessary working of terriers until I felt the sport was becoming ruined by idiots and petty

wirral i realy like your type of plumber and think yhey would suite my needs as i like a terrier 2 be an allrounder earth work tracking game and must be a good busher.u seem 2 no your stuff about them

Having been out with the lads from the midlands I can say their dogs do work all legal quarry.... their dogs are keen as mustard and the lads know what they are doing. I am sure those pup will do peolpe proud!!

what do you mean pre ban ? it is still perfectly legal to dig to a fox with a terrier with written permission to protect game birds ..............

Thanks JayJay,Toka,HGN,for your kind comments,I will always endeavour to push these little dogs as they are so under-rated by people that are quick to have a go whilst never seeing a decent one work, they are a very intelligent terrier but with careful entering work every bit as well as others,Hagen I have'nt spoke to Scott for a while but we'll catch up soon, married life has kept him busy me thinks,LOL's,please pass on my kind regards,oh and yes, that one on the right is a cracker ,that dog has been named "TOD" and has gone to a mate that comes out regular with me so it is assured some work,he was my pick of the litter among the dogs,I have kept the smallest bitch atb, wirralman

Hello lads, hope you don`t mind me butting in on your topic, but as most of the plummer regulars are assembled here I thought it would be a good place to get a bit more info on these cracking terriers. Since my last terrier died over a year ago I have been considering getting another terrier and a plummer in particular. as you point out there are different lines & outcross or "pure" to consider. I have tried to get on the "working plummer terrier forum" with no joy "registration disabled"? apparently.

I guess I could just phone some of the breeders who run ratting packs but I would prefer to do a bit of research first. So I realise I have missed your recent gathering up north, are there any plummer terrier gatherings planned in the near future in the south or midlands maybee? Where a chap could talk to some owners and see some dogs in the flesh.

Thanks in advance

Longbow,I have nothing to do with the show scene or the registered packs,my interest is purely work and I tend to stay in touch with the main lads that do get out and test them,if its just a ratting dog you're after then any of the registered packs will be your point of contact, the 3 main clubs Hagen has kindly put up will help guide you towards a pup in your area but I would give JayJay off here a pm as she has a great knowledge of who's breeding what and when, also she will tell you of any shows around your area,I have always found her to be helpful in all matter's Plummer, atb, wirralman
