Alex Arrigone 24
Seal might have gone mate. Bring it to a gun workshop. Shouldn't cost too much Atb Alex Quote Link to post

Bradley943 9
it was about 40, cocked it and filled, we usually fill to 190, seems the filling valve has gone so we will be getting a new one of those, possibly the new style. is there a site to get genuine air arms parts? thebrown83 0
If you let it drop down to 40psi, there isn't enough compressed air in the cylinder to keep the seals tight and it could possibly have taken some dirt in which could be now trapped in the seal. If this is the case, It will leak when you fill it, even if its the smallest bit of dirt mate. Quote Link to post
Bradley943 9
thats probably it then, anyway to get the dirt out? or is it just a new seal? either way it doesnt look too exspensive and its a pretty old gun thats ben sat around for a while so the whole gun could probably do with new seals. buts its a pre 2006 model so the filling valves are different? Not too sure mate if/how to get the dirt out (if that what it is) as I always make sure I fill my S400 in immaculate conditions to stop this from happening to mine. If it has been sat about for a while and you are planning on using it I personally would get it serviced by Air Arms and it will come back like new. You take action out of the stock and send it to them, it's £90 I think but they will replace anything minor you need in the service but if it needs major work they would contact you for the go ahead first. Check their website and contact them: http://www.air-arms.co.uk or you could get any part you need for it from TW Chambers if you going to do it yourself mate.
