will my dog not hunt if i bring him inside

Recommended Posts

I cant fathom the people who keep working dogs indoors.Whether Im out with lurchers, hounds or terriers, usually they come home in a right state and covered in seven colours of sh!t.Do you bath your dogs everytime you return from hunting? Im imagining if you dont your house must have funky aroma.

Do you not give your dogs a wipe down when you put them in the kennel after working them?

If they need it,a wipe wouldnt make them clean enough to be lying on my carpets.Good luck to yous, dogs covered in mud, blood and snot after a good night.Hope you tuck them in with nice clean sheets :whistling:

Mine are only properly bathed after ratting, or any animals which smell strong, other than that, just dried off with a towel. The house does not stink, may have a doggy smell now and then, but i changed my living arrangements to suit having dogs in house.

No carpet.

Washable rugs.

Washable seating (ie leather, plastic), waterproof covers.

Washable dog beds.

Glass lampshades.

And apart from that, clean like a demon :D

Dont think the harsher weather thing is true, if they have a good coat on them, they will do fine in any weather no matter if living in doors or out, my lot all live indoors and can stand any weather

My dogs have never been stupid enough to stand in cow shit, i have a mat at my back door which my whippet wipes his paws, before entering the house, clever eh.
