B.P.R 2,798
So finally got a day off work and decided to do a bit of ferreting with a mate. Decided to take the whippet pup along for a look in, planned on tying her to the spade but after 10minutes she had calmed down so had her off. I was surprised at how placid she was with the ferrets, been working hard to break her to them so the hard work must of paid off. She didn't wonder off at all and when she followed my ferreting partner I would let her get so far then recall her, she came straight back. It was pissing down so after an hour she went back in the car to get a break and some heat then she was back out. Even got 1 retrieve of a warm bunny from a few metres which I was over the moon about. Bit too heavy for her though. Did intend on taking the rabbit skin dummy I have but forgot. Had a really good day and 5 rabbits for 90mins wasn't bad. Good to give the hob a run after getting the chop too. Long way to go yet but so far so good and enjoyed having her about me while working the ferrets. I know this is a ferret/ whippet post but thought you guys would appreciate how chuffed I am the way she was even though by many others standards she done fcuk all but I'm Happy for now. I do have pics on my mobile so if anybody would be kind enough to post them on here I will text them you. Pm me plz. Thanks Lads. Lee Quote Link to post
