kurtrog70 6
Hi Guys Just a random question, how many of you seewill ferrets when your out and about on your travels? As i was on my way home driving through some country lanes tonight, i seen a very small polecat running in the short grass by the side of the road with what looked like a vole/mouse in its mouth, was quit chuffed to see one. Also if you had the opportunity would you try and catch it and add to your own stock? ATB Kurt Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Assume you mean feral rather than wild? There are a good few about, most 1st gen, escaped or lost workers, but i believe that in several areas there are fairly long standing populations of feral ferrets that are breeding (and thriving) with no wild poley blood. Also most of our 'wild poleys' have a good chunk of feral ferret blood in them. We only usually see em around here when they get killed on the roads. I would be interested in a feral born kit, but taking a feral ferret that is surviving well in the wild back into captivity? Bit too harsh for me. Quote Link to post

fcuktheban 140
With all the people breeding sooo many jills this season I'm sure there will be plenty of this seasons kits tossed in the fields to fend for themselves. Last thing I would want to do is put more predators out to lower my rabbit population but I'm sure there are plenty out there that don't care. Quote Link to post
