6pack 60
Why does it have to be down to the women? Many women may be anti hunting but I think you will find that most with running dogs like to see their dogs running!! Quote Link to post
Saluqihounds 150
When you read things like this it's hardly surprising the UK is leading the way in producing weak, fragile running dogs, a working running dog should be robust enough to run anywhere without problem, its not a viable hunting dog if it can't and shouldn't be bred from IMO. Rest of the hunting dog world world must be having a right good laugh. Edited August 8, 2011 by Saluqihounds Quote Link to post
chook1 184
End of the day they have to think of their insurance, it cost's enough as it is if the ground isnt sutable and someones dog gets hurt, they could get sued. Quote Link to post
lurchermanandboy 0
your right 6 pack we shouldnt get drawn into woman and man issues and i apologise. The women at West Sussex Lurchers are not representative of peopple like you. They are into novelty shows and showing and rosettes but that is there individual bent not because they are women. The men there are the same - lack backbone. regarding insurance - I've been to plenty of shows with good insurance or where we sign to say we won't sue if there is a problem. But I'm withh Saluqihounds, most of us have robust dogs which are out running all the time, just because it is an organised event doesn't make the ground any harder or increase the risk. IMO it is better even as the ground is checked for holes and is flat without all the obstacles they normally clamber over when chasing rabbits. J Quote Link to post
