waidmann 105 Posted August 8, 2011 Report Share Posted August 8, 2011 if the epson salt contains sulphates then this could work lol. the better way would be to check the sg (specific gravity) of the liquid in the battery and add either electrolyte or distilled water untill the lead plates are covered. this is only a workable method if the plates are not touching/bent. i did a fair bit of battery reconditioning as part of a signals course once lol. waidmannsheil Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I have a couple of old diesel Batteries here! one's a 650amp I use for the electric fence but like I pratt I left it uncharged through out the spring and summer months. its now on charge as we speak as it was flat as a pancake!
