Different lines of dogs start at different ages ie the stuff I have in my kennels dont normally start till they are 18 months old . I would rather have a dog knocking zzzzzs out than been a nuisance (yapping etc ), letting something thats still a pup in my eyes isnt clever even if it was an accident . All what you are saying about this young dog means nothing in my eyes ,leave it to mature then try it & judge the dog after that .

hmmmmm are u working terriers long chilli......... lmao for starters i cant MAKE a dog or bitch do anything mate.... did u read the post??? i said i was out a walk with 2 pups when they were 7 months old..... and when i had went to look for the 1 i couldnt see, the pup had already hunted up a fox on his OWN..... i didnt take him to a hole... the pup out of instinct hunted the fox 2 fields HIMSELF..... now im in nooo way dellussional...... and think this is gona be the best thing since sliced pan.... i have seen this [bANNED TEXT] with the dogs only to chuck it at a later date.... but at the same time ive seen some great terriers dug too at very young ages and there still getting dug too 4 seasons later....... now as for you saying yours dont usually start to there are 18 months......... lmao does a TIMER go off inside them at 18 months and say oh lets start to work doggy??????? ..... you must walk your dogs in parks or something mate..... we walk ours on FARMLAND alll the time cos thats my dogs natural enviroment that wat its always gona see, livestock, muck and quarry....... mine arent ever gona see a PARK..... for wee marys springer or poodle to play with them........ and i wana know if im keeping shite well [bANNED TEXT] they 18 months..... oh and too the other boy that piped up about who gives a f**k if there white or pink i just dig them......... tell that too the patterdale men who seem to detest the white dogs (not all of you by the way [bANNED TEXT] i get lynched lol ) :whistling: :whistling: oh and to the guy who JUST DIGS his dogs a few wee pix of your fine working stock would be much appreciated...... atb stop.end :victory:

My dogs arnt mature enough till they are about 18 months, despite looking physically up for it . Have had dogs knocked back because they were not mentally ready . I live in the countryside have never & never will walk dogs in a park .Where I live I have thousands of acres of farmland ,woodland & blocks of forestry to walk my dogs all permission . Yes I read ur thread & still think 7 months is still young accident or not . Ihave to keep my terriers under control as stock is everywhere same as the keepers pheasants .I never said ur are keeping shite thats for u to decide .As for have I had dogs long Iwas took on my first dig when I was 7 by my dad & went regular with him & his pals through out my child hood ,now the roles are reversed & up till 3 years ago Iwas taking him out with my dogs . I aint no little boy & have made many mistakes with dogs enough so to know the right from wrong despite been mentored . Have had this line of dogs for 9 years & know that they are not ready up until the time stated

well chilli your obviously at it a long time sorry if it sounded derogitory  ...... the 2 pups i have are my first pups from this particular mating so to be honest wasnt really expecting him to hunt up and find at 7 months .... as i said i was 2 fields from the nearest home and i do agree that 7 months is a bit young but at the same time i can not stop nature and genetics kicking in mate..... and i hope i still have the same we dog when he is 5 and if not ill just have to start again .... but u cant stop fate and nature and that wee dog obviously thought in his mind he was ready chilli...... anyway im swaying from my point which was he not off no major breeding he just from a wee average joe..... oh and MERVIN....... thanks for your words a wisdom.. greatly appreciated and ill take them on board MATE :victory: love to see a wee pic of ur dogs MERVIN btw... here the wee dog in particular http://i1184.photobucket.com/albums/z329/marco303/270711044.jpg :bye:
