deadlyshot 25
she just turning a year old AND BEFORE YOU ALL SAY YES I KNOW SHE IS WAY TO YOUNG i would even think bout breeding her yet and if i do shes not gone to ground if that what you talking bout but she has run a few out though so in my eyes that shows me she is keen but as im own my own and do my hunting on my own it will prob take a bit longer than normal and she also likes bushing. if she had pups i would keep 1-2 of them for myself and the rest id either practaily give them away to either people i know that will have them and do right with them or id see if people on here would like them and it wouldnt be any old dick and harry it would be reputable people. Guest busterdog
No offence mate but people who are reputable wouldn't want one off her unless she had the breeding behind her or she was outstanding at her work and when i say work it doesn't mean bolting a few foxes for one season. Take it for what it is and use it to your best abilities, the trouble with the terrier world is everyone thinks they're a breeder and your not just there yet my friend. PS unless your bitch was a good one with good blood behind her i wouldn't think there'd be many lads that would let you use there dogs. Edited August 7, 2011 by busterdog 1 Quote Link to post
deadlyshot 25
Yer true! But as I said I am on my own so still learning the people I got her from work there dogs to what standard I don't know but as I said she does look keen and I got to try and start somewhere so I'd thought if my dog was good well in my eyes I'd like to have one of her litter as then I know what to expect from her side and then by mateing her with another good line I should expect a good litter. stop.end 4,079
i wonder who these reputable terriermen are HA ............ the sooo called TOP men of here.... ive seen the stuff yous have sent too northen ireland...... ha well let me just tell you i WOULD NOT keep it...... lol i was out with a pup out of so called top lines the other day 12 and a half months old it was strapping young terrier..... dog in ground working... wat was the dog outa these soo called top lines doing??????? SLEEPING thats right fukin SLEEPING...... now i know it was only 11 months and this was her third time out for a look as the owner said lol....... now too me a terrier that bred outa genuine working stuff not even soo called top lines just good wee honest dogs..... would have been at least interested in the new smells and sounds of a fellow terrier in ground giving tounge and mixing....... perfect example... i have 2 pups 12 months not even out of top name,s..... WHITE dogs i may add too ( just too sicken yous even more lol ) 7 months old out a walk 1 of the pups away outa sight... so i lead up the other pup walk back to van leave the pup in his box and lock the van back up and casually walk back over 2 fields to where i last seen my pup..... by this time 20 mns have passed go up to big homes at the top of the banking...... wheres the 7 month old russell pup out of no big names???? hunted up on his own to a big bury where he was to work old red for another 15 mins before old red had enough and makes good his escape..... and beleive me the wee pup had took stick..... next morning pup bouncing.... now this pup has had 2 digs since then...... the 2nd just being wednesday passed....;. pup in found well and after letting him settle for 30mins....... just 0.9 on the box.... though all in all wee pup in 1 hour....... just from a normal joe soap i know i got the pup......... but the point of the story is...... the top lines has been out as many times as my pup and seen the same smells and sounds but where was she again yesterday??????? oh yes i forgot........ SLEEPING.. :whistling: atb lads. 1 Quote Link to post

chilli 381
Different lines of dogs start at different ages ie the stuff I have in my kennels dont normally start till they are 18 months old . I would rather have a dog knocking zzzzzs out than been a nuisance (yapping etc ), letting something thats still a pup in my eyes isnt clever even if it was an accident . All what you are saying about this young dog means nothing in my eyes ,leave it to mature then try it & judge the dog after that . 1 Quote Link to post

deadlyshot 25
Sorry people i dint want this post to start arguing All i wanted is to know what you guys thought i should breed her with when and if i do Quote Link to post
Guest busterdog
If i were you deadlyshot i would consider breeding when she's a minimum of four years old and then only when she's a true worker, anything else you might aswell go down the road and buy another it's less hassle.
