Guest FTBBTH
hi heres my pup 9 weeks old, i still have his sister, but im just wondering why he is so big? hes 16" tts and his sister is 12" tts, mother was 22" tts and father around 25" tts, heres some pictures, they dont really show the size difference very well, but ive just measured them so thats the size they are, but also i know dogs are usually bigger, but she was the biggest bitch out of the litter, and chunk was alot bigger than his brother who has just been sold, he also is very strong built and has massive nuckles on his legs. cheers for any advice on if its normal for him to be this big, and how big he will make! chunk is the pup with the 2 dark brown eye patches Quote Link to post
boyo 1,398
the litter of first cross saluki greyhounds i bred last year my bitch was bigger than most of the litter but she levelled out 25tts and my sons dog pup ended up 28/29tts which was a surprise because there wasnt any differance in size at 16 weeks . goes to show i suppose . Shazza 52
Lovely pups, when there's a few breeds in the mix you're always gonna get pups that inherit different characteristics and size is just one of them. I gotta ask Is that real grass or astro-turf? Quote Link to post

forest of dean redneck 11,686
sometimes a pup can be bigger than its parents same as as a kid can be taller than its parents. plus some pups may take whippet height and some saluki. my first lurcher was a black n tan saluki/grey/whippet he went to 27" everyone thought it was a doberman to start with.
