Info on SGC - Lothian and Borders Police

Hello,

 

I have the form for a SGC and need to get it countersigned. I have been trying t work out the best person to sign it and wondered if anyone could advise who would be best ( or acceptable) before I apply. I tried calling LBP firearms section but no one returned my call.

 

 

1. A friend of mine has just retired from working as the head of education and training for the scottish ambulance service and he sits on the childrens pannel.

 

2. One of the guys at the bowling club is a teacher.

 

3. Local shop owner?

 

 

Would any of these be suitable? I dont know any lawyers, my doctor is a medical practice so is differant everytime I go.

 

Anyone in the Lothians on here? any advice appreciated.

Any of them as long as there deemed a responsible person . Your no going to get a lot of bother with a shotgun cert unless youve been a silly boy in the past

i have just received my shotgun grant and my counter signer was a teacher that lived next door to me up until i was 10 but we still see them now and again had my licence in 3 weeks - but you have got to push to get it quicker

Any of those folk would do,, L&B are pretty good, and clued up . You shouldn`t have to much hassle with them for a SG cert

Hi if anyone you know is sgc or fac holder and hve known you the police will favour this as they know the type of person that are suitable they will ask them about your drinking habits and that sort of thing best of luck.
