First time out with .22LR

Recommended Posts

Just want to say a big thank you to Sam, (Silvertip). He was kind enough to take me out last night with his .22LR. Iv only ever used Air Rifles untill now and my permission has a pretty serious rabbit problem, And they are just to far to take. That problem was solved last night, We went out for a few hours before Dark and managed to get a few. I was amazed what a difference the .22 makes. I had a really good night and i hope Sam did to. Going out again next week to get a few more. Just waiting for my FAC application to come through now!

Thanks again Sam, Top Bloke

I must confess, I still love my .177 for many rabbiting situations, but when I first used my rimmie for lamping I decided only to use the rimmie for lamping the bunnies. Much more forgiving than air power, incredibly quiet and very, very effective.

I would never off-load my pcp airgun though as there are too many situaions I have to deal with where a 100 fpe rimmie is far too much gun.

Good luck!

Duncan

Hello pal, in Northern Ireland your brother in law is NOT permitted to do referee, it may be different where you come from, but check it out first. Good luck
