TWOTWOTHREE 152
If it's closed it will say something like the certificate holder may shoot vermin etc etc over with what ever cal stated on land deemed suitable by chief plod, or open mine says the certificate holder may shoot over land suitable where I have permission, or along those lines, I can look and put word for word but I'll have to look, someone with a cert handy may put it on, Atb 223 Quote Link to post
markha 99
As above if it mentions land deemed suitable by chief of police then its a closed licence. You could send it back in a years time to apply for an open licence after gaining some experience with your rifles. Welcome to rimfire world Quote Link to post

TWOTWOTHREE 152
Hi the open condition is wrote on mine as follows just reading it now. The .22 rifle .17 hmr and .223 and ammunition shall be used for shooting vermin/fox/ground game and for zeroing on ranges or land over which the holder has authority to shoot, if yours says for example the 22lr and ammunition shall be used for shooting vermin, fox, ground game and for zeroing on ranges or land deemed suitable by the chief officer of police for the area where the land is situated and over which the holder had lawful authority to shoot, then it's closed, Basicly the land has to be checked by the police force associated with that area, hope that helps, just a bit of advice give it three months then ask for open condition if you use it loads and your ammo usage is high you may get it,I did after no time. Hope this helps mate atb .223 Quote Link to post
