maitland93 13
been going out with the pup just letting him mooch about see what he can find and see if he can use his nose to locate bunnys etc and he satarted of well so a decieded to take him some where else. so a took me pup out today just for a walk! he is only 19 weeks old so a took him down the dene front where you see the odd rabbit. he has seen a few and has nearly caught one however a took him out today and he is going throught bush to bush and through the long grass getting rabbits to bolt and is in pusuit so a just let him chase them along with my terrier chasing them then returning to me then mooching about again. he just seems to think he has to work his bolloks off now and just hunts up all the time. however on the way home a leaded the dogs up to cross the road then when a got on the feild a let them off. (then) he clocked a magpie jumping around be side a tree and bouled over flat out and snatched it straight up from the floor and returned to me with the bird (mangeled up from the chomping he was doing on his return to me) and placed it in my hand. so far so good Quote Link to post
Coneytrappr 30
Sounds like your pup is made of good stuff, however I'd be wary of letting him run so many rabbits at only 19 weeks...he is unlikely to catch them and you don't want it getting into his head that he can't. It's a good feeling though, eh. I love watching dogs hunt up and push cover. Quote Link to post
