at the end of the day bull adds tenacity, which is the main factor on bigger quarry to go with there higher jaw power but to say there the only dog capable is stupidity. seen many other crosses mix with all quarry single handed and I'm sure many other people have to and probly laughing at this topic to, alot of you said a good bull cross will beat any collie on all quarry, so collies arnt good rabbit dogs, good hare dogs, good deer dogs, some good fox dogs and some good word deleted you f*****g idiot when bull crosses are great rabbit dogs, great hare dogs, great deer dogs and great teeth dogs don't think all that is true is it really in my view collie crosses are more versatile then a bull cross. bull crosses have there uses for teeth but ain't no where near the best for anything else, horses for courses lads

when ye talking abot deer u mean small deer right cause a dont think you will of seen a collie x take a good rutting buck / stag ect FALLOW, RED ,SIKA down not a chance a collie x could take a big deer down in the RUTT atb stag

mate not gonna argue with anyone on this subject anymore as most are idiotic and complete breed blind, so not gonna waste my breath As said most on here on this post are really showing the key board hunters for what they are, topics like this really prove who gets out alot and how doesn't, im not gonna say no more

ive ran collie gryhounds in the past they are a very versatile dog but talking in pre ban tearms some collie crosses are capable at catching and killing foxes single handed but i think the going gets

i personally think the odd collie cross  could  maybe do one fox  single handed if it didnt jack ,theres no way it could do 3 or 4 like a good strong bull x it just isnt gonna happen

l

Of course a good collie cross will, I only run bullxs but know collies will do fox

I'm curious to know why people prefer to use the bull x when in my opinion a good collie grey is capable of doing the same job I'm not knocking the cross just not my cup of tea I'd like to know a bit about the history of the cross when it was introduced etc this isn't a topic for shit talk I'd like some sensible replies and like I said everyone to there own I'm not knocking the breed.

not been funny mate but theres no collie greyhound in the u,k that can can do every think a good bull breed dose no chance

that is why he is known as the BIG EEJIT

i own bull x aswell but i still never seen a collie x kill a fox yet ive heard the stories just never seen it , suppose it doesnt help the lads i run with dont use this line either

Farmers son i know has a collie x and its an out and out fox slaying machine, not the breed for me but have seen good and bad in both breeds.

A good dogs agood dog, theres never been a perfect dog bred to my knowledge in any breed, so horses for courses.

Enjoy what ya got lads and keep it alive.

Maybe its the bull generation but some folk think nothing could ever kill a fox before the bull came popular,,plenty of terrier crosses around long before that , and some deerhounds are demons on fox ,

Had a wee beddy cross bitch well able to draw ,anything, as good as any,she probably didn't look the part but then again that didn't seem to be important to anyone back then,,

as the man said , this thread said more about the amount of lurcher work some lads have done or seen,
