:clapper: @ Cocker.

Whippets & whippet crosses for me, not that there is anything wrong with 'em, infact I love seeing 'em go but they just wouldn't suit my graft.

First cross Saluki too. Again, love saluki blooded dogs, one will be my next charge but need more of an 'up and at 'em' dog and i've never seen a first cross yet that has this.

wouldnt own whippets to much terreir or colie in them deerhound hit and a miss i want a dog that has arunning brain on game pluss speed the [bANNED TEXT] saluk type and collie type are best ive saw so far the aluants heavt bullcrosses bedies dont cut it on big land long slips unless very greyhoundy, and then feets a problem ,i dont keep dogs cause atype i want ones that catch were everi fancy a jaunt, lke the stew pt to be filled and the village so expect alot out of a dog ,so far the saluk cross with coliie and a few other types have been up there ,a good running dog needs wind pace running brain and good pirellis or feet any less and they go down the pecking order to heavy muscled with bone they end up sore footed no wind for big nites , getting and breeding good dogs is a science

Wouldn't have anything with any recent track whippet or greyhound blood to thin skinned and weak boned for sustained hunting over varied terrain. Couldn't have a Collie as I just don't gel with them. In all honesty doubt I would have anything but Saluki/Tazy/Tazi types now as much as I still admire the qualities of other types experience led me what works best for my needs and I am happy enough with them not to chance anything else. .
