Nightwalker, I agree, the internet is unsafe, only if you are doing something illegal.

If you go about your business within the law, discuss it, get the pics posted,no problems. OK the antis might not like it but tough. There are far more unsavory things on the internet for people to worry about.

If you're breaking the law :icon_redface: you're hardly going to broadcast it to the world.

Tancho, i don't know anyone on here either, but they seem a good crowd, some good topics get discussed and if you post a question you'll usually get an answer fairly quick.

Stuff the antis, if they don't like it they don't have to look. :good::good:

Hi Border.

I agree that we need to be very careful about what we post...anywhere, there is no such thing as a safe website or safe computer. The fascists in Westminster have just banned major elements of our sport, so no matter how we feel about that, and regardless of whether we intend to carry on as normal..or not, posting pictures and accounts of banned activities which are now illegal is just crazy...unless they are clearly historical (right down to the pre-ban date stamp on the pictures) or took place abroad. Just by way of parallel, imagine if proponents of other illegal activities were posting graphic accounts of their activities on the web complete with pictures e.g..... now here's me sawing the barrels down on my 12 bore, here's me putting on the balaclava, here's me and my mate going into the sub-post office with our shooters! Suicide mate, suicide!

If the busies do arrive at the company which hosts this site or any other site with a warrent then things like date stamps will matter.

i also think a lot of people will walk away from the sites

So they should, I'm thinking of it myself. I've had dogs for 30 years i.e long before the internet, and I will course and lamp will until the day I die, I dont need extra hassle though and if I judge that these sites mean more risk than I care for then I'm gone, at the moment its a fine judgement but I think I will probably check out of these sites.

Dont really know anyone in person on this site, or smoochers, but through reading posts, and peoples answers i have built up in my mind , an idea of who are "realdeal"hunters, walk the walk etc, and there are a few, but there are more people like myself, working their dogs when it suits them, who come on here for a bit of crack, or information, or just as someone put it earlier in this thread, to lurk and read posts. IMO a lurker is someone who posts quite regularly but the majority of posts are

:11:

nice pics :D

hows the dog bred

people who can post all night and say f**k all

Nightwalker....you may be from England, unlike me  :) ......the web is a big place and hunting around the world is far from banned, little Britain has been well and truely bummed when it comes to working dogs...but its a tiny place, with prejudiced people...other countries around the world....eat breath sleep hunting....so I wouldn't let the internet bother you, no one else in the world is going to stop using the net because of a ban in one country.....we all have different laws....tell them to fox off if anyone has a problem..... :guitar:

it would be good if everyone used international email addresses and if possible - used proxy software to hide IP's - that way we arent prejudicing the foreign posters by their IP being different to the british posters...

or if the forum software had its IP logs turned off - is that possible Ian?

and I know non-original email addys can cause probs - but international ones may be better... eg gmail/hotmail etc....

Its logged at host end anyway newboy, not that it makes any difference......

I wouldn't be concerned, to be honest I wouldn't even mention it, as it draws more attention, if anyones really bothered about posting on net, then don't :11: :) .

Its about time hard core hunting arose from the ashe's ,,,and we could start having the good old craic again . Those were the days  :good:

sounds great :clapper: back to the old days.. but like geordie says one gets rumbled everyone gets rumbled....

Wasn't that the site which was such a good idea that it landed a number of its members in court? FFS, the internet is not a safe place, no matter how much you try to lock things down, there will be leakage and that leakage is what the CPS call 'evidence'.

no mate your on the wrong one there ...............good old days indeed HCH dogs bollox..yis fellman

Heres my theory on hunting...

When we was swinging about in the trees, trying to avoid sabre toothed kittie cats, and the like, we DID not have any religion...we where to worried about getting food, getting water, getting laid, or getting eaten!..lol.

As man made a so called "Progression" and found out about fire, and that for some reason, everything else was shit scared of it...he seemed to realise he had far more time on his hands...so instead of spending his nights cat napping, in fear of some giant critter eating him alive, he could rest in peace, knowing that the fire burning safely at the entrance of his nice cave, would keep him safe.

With fire, came the ability to cook meat, which was obtained through scaverging and some HUNTING...thus the meat was more easily digested and turned into important body fuel to aid healthy brain growth..

This is where man kind, imo, should have STOPPED!..

As we got smarter, we got certain skills that aided us in hunting...throwing spears, edged weapons, the use of wild CANINES in aiding us with the chase...and more importantly, the ability to speak, thus we could divise cunning little plans to start wiping out much larger animals (not alot has changed there!.. :( )

These things HELPED to a certain degree...but then came along something that has caused more WARS and killed MORE people than most things in this world...which is of course RELIGION..

As life got better and easier, we started wondering..."Ug, ug..Frank, what the fecks that big thing up there in the sky,..Ug,..ug"...so we started worshiping various other things...the sea, the sun, the moon, women with big tits...anything realy..lol.

This progressed into such am important thing, that it evolved into our MAIN concern...NOT hunting...NOT keeping safe.

So here we are...modern day...after all the Crusades,9/11, world wars, etc etc...all or most of them caused buy different beliefs of what GOD is.

What im trying to get at, is that HUNTING has been around since we got tired of getting eaten, and sick of having the shits through eating bananas and grapes, or whatever we was eating back then...so HUNTING is what got us here...if we ALL knew that, we would have much better lifes...can you imagine a world without God...just tribes of hunters!?...to be honest, it would suit me down to the ground!

SORRY IF I OFFENDED ANYONE...just my own opinion..

Kye...
