My dog is a bushing and rabbit dog I have no need to hunt. Black or white. Or foxes. Its more of a faloncry dog and ratter then. Earth dog ?

Well if thats what ye wanted why didnt ye go for a spaniel or spaniel cross i would also remove the b and w bit as well  and if ye terrier is struggling to switch on to rabbit ye have possibly bought one of the terriers i was refering to before bred from shite good luck with it

I stick matches under the rabbits toes and when the terriers are about i light them, when the rabbit squeals in tends to focus the terriers attention and hey presto more shite terriers working f****n

IMO,if you are hunting rabbits with your diging dogs sooner or later they will go to ground on rabbit and when they do it once and get a taste for it its hard to stop them doing it again.

It f****n does in my eyes mate, i'de shoot the f****r and have done with, each to there own.

you would actually shoot a terrier if it hunt rabbits even if it works to its intented quarry aswell

I would yeah the first time i sunk a hole and it was up tight trying to get to a bunny it would be curtains  also i would not let a terrier hunt up rabbit or go near them for that very reason

Nope it doesnt mean that at all, if ye want to let ye terriers chase bunnies out of a bush thats your bag,if blokes keep a purpose bred dog to work fox to ground they do not want there terriers going to ground on a bunny do they so they keep them away from them, and alot of folks that keep bushing terriers that do the odd fox think they have something special and breed from them and folks buy them as they think there earth dogs which they aint further diluting the gene pool,i dont crab ye for letting ye dogs chase bunnies, i wouldnt let my own do it and would never have anything to do with a terrier that did i dont see it as terrier work and never will a spaniel or a small cur hound can do a better job in my opinion

A good keen terrier should want to kill everything but his training and upbringing should show through and stop him IE sheep and other stock. I agree that terriers will chase rabbits but what i'm saying is why would you encourage a dog thats been bred for underground work to piss about chasing little bunny rabbits, IMO it's a sin and if you also expect the same terrier to work below ground then it won't be long before your six foot down pulling out old gray back.
