Lamp connectors, alternatives to cig sockets

I fancy replacing the cigarette socket connections on my lamp, batteries and charger. Had a few frustrating nights last season having to hold them to keep the connection or having to re wire direct to the battery in the field. There must be a more reliable system? Any ideas or links appreciated, cheers

ive had the same problem and it only happens once i have slipped the dog .i got a screw connecter from rs components

Mine is wired straight to the battery.I've had no problems to date. My mate uses cigar type and i've just re-soldered his.

Straight too the battery, Then taped up before i go out never really had a problem this way

i use the blue spade connectors straight to my batt just tape them or use rubber bands to stop them slipping of ! never had a problem doing that happy lamping !!

I use bullet connectors, 2 males from the lamp, 2 females from the battery and then have used crocodile clips to hook up to vehicle battery, wired through to driving seat then 2 female bullets on end.

When your lamp battery dies just hook straight up to car battery

i use some 3 prong connectors male on the lamp and a female on the battery once pushed together they wont come apart till you pull them apart they only cost a couple of quid well worth it.

I have a female jack plug conector on my battery, male jacks on the opposite end of my cigar and charger conectors, all other plug in attatchments are the same, makes it easy to swap from gun lamp to search light, saves pratting about, got all the conectors from Maplins

I use the bullet connectors and tape them up
