lamping

well lads lamping is something i love to do but. im not one to go out after twelve at night. bigs numbers dont really appeal to me as i would have no use for that many rabbits. i would usely be lamping at 7 or 8 very rarely any later than that. but im just curious wat is the reason ye all leave it so late? and am i the only one goes that early? i often heard the sayin rabbits late at night are full off grass and easyier to catch. would ye agree with that?

i go at that time when im at work through the week mate but i like a proper session on the weekend nowt better than getin in when the birds are singing

you cant beat lamping all night ..but i think the main reason for lamping so late is the law and alot of lads dont just lamp rabbits

More rabbits and usualy further out later at night but if you,re not after big numbers doesn,t matter what time as long as its dark lol

true big numbers have no appeal to me. well thats until a friend challenges ha. but its nothing to serious just a few pint. even then that dont involve big numbers sometimes. first dog to miss a rabbit looses. do any off ye have little bets like that. be interesting to find some new ones

more rabbits are out the later you go out plus further out from bush lines and if your poaching then its best the later you go

i like to go when the street lights come on and i dont lamp near cattle as they are scary at night and i dont go near wooded areas as they also scare me

it all depends on the season and the weather ive been out some nights and it hasnt turned out the best of night so i call it an early night if i think its gona be a good night and the dogs are up for it" march on "

I usually set off at about midnight on permission or not so get to my destination around 1ish. By then the countryside seems to have settled(background noise..traffic and such). Always had best results at this time and you can bet your last pound that if theres any out of the ordinary vehicles about its either the plod or the keepers.atb stabba

i might just try that settin off late to see wat ya mean. and for the plod and keepers we dont see any of that around me thank god. well sayin that i think im fairly lucky theres not many round me hunt so no one takes any notice. i can only imagine the hassel some of ye fellas get.

in winter i go out from 10pm by time iv picked every one up and got to where were starting lamping its about 11pm and lamp all night till its getting light unless it turns out to be a crap night weather wise then call it a day and go home.
