as you have said yourself the pup was with the bitch till you got her then you have been spending alot of time with it now for the first time its being left on its own its going to cry. the radio is always a good idea but start with leaving the pup for short periods of time gradually getting longer it will relise that you are always going to come back for it. if it persists there are other thing to try.

if the dog is outside leave her in the kennel stand close by out of sight leave it 5 mins if she whines a bit oi! normally lets them know your still there and wont tolerate it. after 5 mins if quiet go back let here out and reward the good behaviour build up the time to 10/ 20 etc it should work just be patient and like others have said a radio is also good or put a ticking clock in a big teddy or pillow is another way i know has worked for some...

If everybody was an expert an knew everything then the world would be a boring place. It's a forum and on a forum you ask questions to things you don't know.

I suppose you knew everything since you were born aye?

no mate but i knew how to look after a dog before getting a f****r just common sense dont you think

Ok, common sense....how do you get a puppy to stop whining?

I would give it things to keep it calm and leave it for short times just like above but if the pup whines when you are home I'd use a sharp voice to start and after that a spritz from a water bottle.
