nicola1804 114
I'd hate to say it but in these circumstances with you struggling to rehome the others and still getting people bringing the other pups back, do you really want to have your bitch brought down by these pups just as seasons gonna start plus has the bitch even earnt the right to be bred, wouldn't of thought you be stupid enough to let this happen again as post above said you still have options and as you've failed her as an owner you could dig into your pocket and resolve the situation at the vets and learn from these multiple mistakes and not let it happen again I dont want any more pups if I can get them aborted I will she is in excellent shape at the moment do you really think I want this after all the problems Ive had with the other pups you know as you were going to try and get up for one its a nightmare. I would rather pay if I can get it sorted than my bitch being dragged down yes I should of kept ahold of my bitch instead of passing her to him to put my other dog on the lead. With her being so late in her heat and only a few seconds I thought which was bloody stupid of me that she wouldnt be pregnant. I have failed and Im a stupid cow does anyone else want to tell me something I dont know? Quote Link to post
stabba 10,745
Im sorry..but you cant for 1 minute blame your other half....Its your bitch so therefore in your care...You are the 1 responsible imo..Just how on earth a dog can serve a bitch whilst both on the lead and supposedly being kept an eye on is beyond me...Get to the vets for confirmation of pregnancy then if its positive its up to you to decide the pups future....Dont hold your breath for positive comments coz if im being honest you dont deserve any...Ive no doubt that you are a decent stocksman/woman but an error like this is just plain idiotic..let it be a lesson hard learned..atb stabba 1 Quote Link to post

I have failed and Im a stupid cow does anyone else want to tell me something I dont know? Right .... so instead of going to the vet straight away for an injection, you wait 6 weeks?! The pups are close to viability, and your bitch will be stressed to the max for having to abort them this late on. Some of them never recover from that. And further more, aborting this late on will likely result in a full spay as damage to the womb is extensive. How long are your leads that you couldn't feel what was going on? You can't blame your partner either, she's your blinkin' dog. You've had an accident before, surely you should have been more vigilant this time around. And interesting how this happened shortly after your post about wanting to breed this bitch. Stupid cow is more polite than what I would say. Quote Link to post

Shazza 52
. We were going to a show on the sunday so he brought 2 dogs over to find out they were pestering her so kept her in the house. You knew the dogs were pestering her so why on earth did you bring her back into the company of the boys as even on a lead you/him couldn't control them You should take her in and have the pups aborted and have her spayed at the same time. Get all your bitches done so there's no future "accidents" Quote Link to post
lurchergrrl 1,441
Anybody who has an ounce of knowledge about keeping and breeding dogs knows that waiting six weeks before you bother to confirm/abort a pregnancy is just plain stupid. If she's six weeks in, she's not been on the right diet all this time. Aborting her at this stage of the game is very bad for her indeed - physically but more so mentally. If her health was top priority for you, you'd have sorted this out sharpish. I've got no respect for someone who meekly says ooops my dog got caught whilst on lead and I really didn't know etc etc. Not after that person already had an accidental mating from another bitch with a poor outcome, and who had then posted about breeding this one and didn't even know what they wanted to put over her in the first place. You're a silly little girl. And don't call me flower. Quote Link to post

Id say exactly the same to anyone else with my storey so cant really excuse myself. 1 Quote Link to post
B.P.R 2,798
My lab bitch got caught by a stray alsation while she was in my back garden. The bas tard jumped my back fence while I was in the garage, I seen it jump the fence and by the time I got over to it, it had mounted and I proceeded to give it a size 9 to the forehead. Straight to the vets for the jag. Took the bill round to the owners house and got him (with some slight persuasion) to pay for the jag. Some people are really irresponsible with letting their dogs do what they want. I know you've took some stick And know you've been daft so enough said Quote Link to post
Richie10 345
Well it's happened now. This thread is starting to sound like the ones on the pet doggy forums. If she is pregnant it's happened, might be a false one after all. If she is pregnant deal with the pups straight away. Quote Link to post
6pack 60
I think you should consider yourself lucky. All you get is a few harsh comments on here. If only the poor dog could get off so lightly. Quote Link to post
mackay 3,471
You say the dog was only on her a few seconds (on her or in her) even if it was the latter you would be damned unlucky for her to be in pup, or I suppose very lucky depending on what you actually want the outcome to be.
