hi how many of you have stopped ferreting and hung up your nets till next season i am going to dales tommorrow will they all have young and full of young more likely for your ferret to lie up cheers kieron

Alright Maaccy,

Ferreting finished a month ago in west yorks where we live.

However we were in the dales on Sun with the ferrets and dogs

and didnt see any young uns or milky does.Cracking day out.

The higher up you go the better IMO.

I stopped a month ago also but I had a phone call from a farmer we do during the year and hes shot 30 in the last 2 weeks.He wants us down to give the place 1 going over,I had a walkaround the farm and it doesnt seem to be over run with bunnies at all.I think hes exaggerating a little.We did the place last year twice and at the start of the season we got 13 and last december we got 9.Where the flood of rabbits came from I cant make out.For good realations we'll do the place anyway and see what happens,could be foreign national rabbits after taking over the neighbourhood lol.

Im just doing the odd day here and their to get my whippet pup keen and only for an hour.

But all my seriouse ferreting has stoped, as their were pregnant does about.

 

Like your self jigsaw, a farmer rang me to say the place is moving with them, i will go have a walk about first and see. :hmm:;)

I had stopped about a month ago but my mate has just got some new permission

and he's wanting us to have a go with the ferrets on sunday,the owner is expecting

him to get on with the job.
