Tiercel 6,986 Posted August 1, 2011 Report Share Posted August 1, 2011 Most people use braided nylon, usually a flat braid as it can be spliced quite easily. I use 1.5mm or if I do not have any of that I will use 2mm. Some net sellers use braided polypropolyne and to be honest it's cheap but it is totally useless. It will catch in anything and it cannot be spiced properly. For all my personal nets I use 1.5mm flat braid 45KG breaking strain, light and you will get around 4oo mtrs per kilo.
