123hw80 9
i went shooting with my dad with the hw80 air rifles the farmer had just cut the fields we walk in to the woods and my dad saw a squirrel tuck a shot but mised when he did this about 5 birds flew up out of the field so we walked up and the was lots of wood pigeons in the middle of the field so my dad stayed next to the woods and i walked to the top of the field got in the woods about 30min lator one landed about close to me and i could just see its head over the cutt straw tuck a shot and missed so i tryed to get close to them in the middle of the field and had no luck (they might have been close in but the farmes cat was about) i stayed close to the ground i was thinking if i just shoot one i could set it up as a decoy close to me but had no luck i enjoyed the day out thanks 1 Quote Link to post
Sidelock 10
Hi, Not easy to get them to stand still long enough for a shot with an airgun..... first MOVEMENT thats the key keep as still as you can, a bit of camo net will help there.. A better bet is the roost and sitty trees, dont sit under them but a few yards away in a hedge or behind a bail or 2, as for decoys id put a couple of lofters in the tree and sit and wait... now a little tip,, if you watch a pigeon sit in a tree you will notice that if hes stood on a branch ( you can see his legs ) he is looking around and will keep moving his head,, wait till he SITS on the branch ( cant see legs ) then his head movement is very little so giving you more time for the all important HEAD SHOT Quote Link to post

The Duncan 802
Hi 123hw80, About an hour before sunset - get concealed in the shadows with good face and hand cover and waitfor then to land in the trees aroun you. Keep movements to an absolute minimum. Good luck D. Quote Link to post
