torchey 1,301
Any of you guy's out there used a P7 lenser gun light and what do you think of them or could you suggest something else along those lines....thanks... Mick Get one from china mate ,works out about 12quid delivered. The 800 lumens cree zoom or the 500 lumens cree recoil are the best ones out there..The only pain is the wait hi torchey you got any links for that light that you could send me...thanks I wouldn,t no how to put a link up mate, but if you go on ebay and type in either 800lumens cree zoom or 500 lumens cree recoil they will come up, they are both real good torches probably on par with a £70 odd quid tiablo thanks for that torchey i'll give it a go ....thanks... mick The tesco torch is nowhere near the same league Just one thing, you are looking to illuminate at ranges up to 100m, you are not going to be combing the skies looking for incoming Heinkels and Messerschmitts! It is ridiculous to have something that is so overpowered for hunting, all you are doing is burning battery! This torch is well suited for hunting, I have used it for such and with the inbuilt dimmer it really does eke life out of the 2 AA batteries. It is small enough to be unobtrusive and powerful enough to be an effective aid to hunting! Each to there own,i have tesco torches but they are not the ones that sit on my guns Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
I just use a clamp type holder that goes round the scope and the torch, then it points where the scope looks, simple and cost a tenner! Quote Link to post

hw97k 36
the tesco torches are no good in the rain mate you only get what you pay for in my opinion Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Why are they no good in the rain? Mine has always worked well in the rain, mist, dry... The only time it does not work is when the wife calls me up to say I have been delayed and I know it is in the gun cabinet on the other damned rifle... hw97k 36
over the past 7months mate ive been out lamping at least 4 times a week ,not once in a year and think im an expert i know what works for me by actually using things and not reading about them.in my findings theyve let in water and corrode in a matter of hours.like i said in my experience you only get what you pay for if you want things to last mate.i cant see it being good in mist mate even with a top lamp its hard to recognise quarry safely.
