was only joking mate , make sure your certain what quarry your going to be running ,and get a pup out of parents doing that quarry , that have seen a several good seasons each, and even better if you can see them working ,some people will say "dont do pups" get an older dog , i'd deffinately get a pup and take your time and make it yours as the bond/level of understanding that can be achieved between dog and owner will serve you much better than a fasttrack route when buying someone elses failers /dogs they couldnt be bothered schooling correctly .hope you get sorted mate atb tag

spot on, as above a pup from proven parents. I think lurcher to lurcher are good dogs, (colliexgrey x deerhoundxgrey, bullxgreyx colliexgrey,) good alrounders. Worker to worker you in with a fighting chance

ok cheers lads this is going well , what about the size whats the average tts size with thes types ? what about the whipxbed types ? do they live well in a kennel on their own or best with a companion ?? (terier) etc i have two (pet) staffs that live indoors would they be ok to excercise together ? dont want to spoil the work side of training , as my staffs are 7 months and two they are still young but ultra responsive to me ,would it help to bring my running dog on or could it confuse things ?? big question DOG or BITCH ???? i feel like my bitch staff is so much more obediant now but my boy respects me so much more :hmm: this is hard work lol

Bedlington/ greyhound pup or something similar. A pup that should make around 24-25 would be a good idea. You asked about dog or bitch. From my own expierence bitches are easier to train but take longer to hit there prime, bitches hit there best at 4-5 yet dogs are abit harder but seem keener to hunt/work at hit good at 2-3. Also dogs in general are better on the red ones. Before anyone says anything I'm not including bullxs into that and I'm talking in general

are the bull x a different kettle of fish altogether then ? i like the sound of them ,

noooooooooooooooooooooo!not for ferreting, they are a bit over the top for ferreting an yes I did have one (2 actually)and they are scud missiles on legs.Too intense for rabbiting with ferrets in my opinion.Go for a whippet/collie greyhound or a bedi/g.hound or bedi whippet or a lurcher to lurcher with a dash of bull if you really keen on it but dont go the bull/hound route,it will all end in tears.I await the onslaught
