whats the best ???

i am taking delivery of a brand new bsa r10 mk2 in 22 calibre on wednesday. so what do you guys think is the best pellet for this gun ??? .......

my first port of call with any air rifle is to try aa field and rws superdomes, havent used a rifle wich dosent like either, bang in a 30yd group rested prone with each and one if not both will be pellet on pellet, then try a bit further and further the groupings will spread but you will find one of them to your barrels liking im sure

 

this is my tryed and tested method that works for me, maybe others will disagree.

hows it going?

pellpax use to do sample packs but i cant find them now!

i used Air Arms field and they grouped best in my barrel,also falcon,accupels,were good too!

good luck with the new rifle,A friend of mine has just purchased one in .177 and was getting good groups the week end with me & Si.and took some long range shots and humane kills with it straight out of the box

 

so you need to try a few different brands,and those which group best use them!

Try the Daystate Rangemaster Li, Basically the Old Accupell Clone, Punches well above their weight, Hit like Bisley Magnums.

What we have found works well in our BSA PCP rifles is the Crosman Premier Ultra Magnums, they are good, very low number of mis shapes per tin, hit like an express train and are not too expensive. Very good quality and a tin that has a screw lid as well so it does not come apart in the bag (unlike Daystate pellets). .22 are 14.3 grain and the .177 are 10.5 grain!
