Show-MeWrangler 0
.... agree with the "litle man syndrom" it is the amount of heart and try in the dog that decided what he CAN do... but even a 100# guy can be a quarter back for a little while... til hes all busted up. Our job to decided when hes had enough .... I am excited about what my Little dogs can do... but i am not going to push them to break down... i want to use them NEXT year :D Quote Link to post

ban is just a word 43
your proberly right in what your saying but i know of people who big there 25" dogs up and make them out too be the best dog on the planet?? my mates got a beddy whippet grey that stands 20" and it puts any other dog iv seen too shame on charley yes 'even' bull crosses Quote Link to post
WILF 47,662
The most versatile size would be between 23 to 25 imho............a dog 20 or under will limit your options, especially as a first dog as your hunting may change. A bigger (be that height or weight) dog of the right sort will overall be more humane on certain quarry, again jmho. There is no "shame" in owning a small dog or a big dog if you have them for the right reasons......its these idiots that say they take hundreds of fallow bucks with 20 inch dogs that cause the nonsense..........we know its bollocks and they know it bollocks. If they had said, these are handy little tools on bunnies I would say fair play, but they seem to get the hawkers disease, you know, where they say their buzzard can take a mountain lion, that sort of nonsense. As long as you keep a dog to suit yourself and your hunting and its good at its job, who gives a f**k...... 4 Quote Link to post

ban is just a word 43
every dog is different its all down too personal choice not personal quarry, i think the majority of us would pick a bigger dog over a smaller dog but that isnt too say the bigger dog will be better iv seen big dogs catch rabbits better than smaller dogs and iv seen little dogs handle charlies better than bigger dogs, like i said its personal oppinion i dont care how big my dogs make aslong as they do the job 1 Quote Link to post
