Whats yourFavourite quarry

Recommended Posts

Pre ban for all the guys who had the all rounders, your dogs took all quarry, what got you the most excited? A good nights lamping for rabbits? Seeing your dog firing into foxes? A good hare course or a good day out for the deer?

daytime deer is by far the most exciting for me ... or watching a good long twisty run at foxes gets the blood flowing ... all still legal over here to

Watching an experienced Lurcher using its nose, following a scent, speeding up and becoming more excited as it closes in on its quarry, then the chase, course.Having the ability to deal with each and ever

In the good old days i would prefer a night on the foxes above anything else, daytime deer could be exciting as could watching a dog hunt up, nowdays i'll stick to lamping bunnies which i think is far underated as a sport..............

a really jinky running rabbit can be great to watch all the years ive been lamping and ferreting i still love watching the rabbit run he has the ability to make the best dogs look daft the odd time at least

a good fox can be great too especially one thats been ran before

a hare that runs a good race and gets away can only be admired pure athletisism

and deer always gets the blood flowing

my favourite its a hard one alright depends a good fox or a deer that is taken before it has hit a ditch

just my opinion though also depends dogs you keep

i would sooner run the fox anyday of the week ,daytime deer are ok but a lamp shy fox gets my adrenallin pumping watching it turn a good dog inside out and either get nackd or deserve to get away if its a lucky 1 as we no you cant catch them all
